Hop on for this tour which combines two of the most popular helicopter tours: the Golden Circle and adventure on Eyjafjallajökull glacier. This trip offers the best and most beloved sights on Iceland’s south coast and highlands areas, along with an unforgettable view of our most famous glacier.

You’ll start by meeting your guide and boarding at the helicopter lift-off point, and then away you go to the Golden Circle. This area is home of three of the most beloved attractions in Iceland: Þingvellir National Park, Geysir geothermal area and Gullfoss waterfall, and you will also enjoy a stop on the ice cap of Langjökull glacier.

From here, you can look out over Haukadalur valley, bubbling with constant geothermal activity, filling the air with mist and sulphurous scents.

The Great Geysir, a geyser active for more than 10,000 years is located here, though it frequently goes dormant in its old age. Strokkur, a geyser nearby, is happy to put on a show for visitors to the valley, though, and erupts nearly every 10 minutes to spew boiling water high into the air.

The final site of the Golden Circle is the Golden Waterfall, Gullfoss. From the ground, this is an awe-inspiring feature, but you'll truly be able to appreciate its scale from above.

You’ll then soar over Þórsmörk Nature Preserve and Landmannalauger, two areas of great beauty that are hugely popular with hikers. Þórsmörk is a protected area cared for by thousands of locals, who over time planted more than 4 million trees here in an attempt to restore Iceland‘s woodlands in the shelter of the mountain ridge.

Now, you can see pools, birch forests and colourful wildflowers carpeting the area.

Landmannalauger boasts stunning rhyolite mountains, striated with fascinating colors. Lava fields and mountains stretch across the horizon in this popular camping place.

Finally, you‘ll see the Eyjafjallajökull, which caused so much trouble with its eruption in 2010, forcing more than 800 Icelanders who lived in the Fimmvörðuháls valley to evacuate as meltwater flooded the plain, causing rivers to surge and part of the Ring Road to wash away entirely. You‘ll touch down in the valley to see the primordial landscape up close.

Don‘t miss this chance to see some of the most dramatic scenery in Iceland from on high! Check the booking availability by choosing a date!
