Description
Summary
Description
Snatch up this one-of-a-kind opportunity to see the mountains, hills and fields of Iceland from the seat of a powerful ATV. On this 6-7 hour tour of the Reykjanes area, you will feast your eyes on scenery that tells the story of Iceland's stark landscapes and volcanic history.
You'll get the safety equipment, a briefing, and then you'll mount up and set off.
To begin, you will ride on the western part of the Reykjanes peninsula, at Grindavik’s old harbour, where you can admire dramatic shipwrecks. The adventure continues with volcanic craters, hot springs of Gunnuhver and the spectacular black sandy beach, Sandvik, where Clint Eastwood filmed the award-winning movie 'Flags of our Fathers'.
After around 3 hours of driving, you will stop for lunch in Grindavik in a restaurant located in front of the pier where you will discover all sorts of soups (lobster, vegetable, Icelandic meat soup…) and lots of other delicious options; it’s all included. Where else can you find a deal like that?
After lunch, the fun continues. You’ll be heading to the volcano garden of Krýsuvík where you’ll see breathtaking landscapes with geothermal steam vents and volcanic craters. You’ll stop by beautiful lakes and enjoy the nature, drive near geothermal fields and explore unspoiled stretches, far from any man-made distraction.
Please note that admission to the Blue Lagoon is not included in this tour; you can be dropped off there after the trip if you buy a ticket in advance, however.
Take advantage of all this action and relaxation rolled into one afternoon! Check availability by choosing a date.
