Review of 2 Day Northern Lights & Ice Cave Tour with Glacier Hiking & Jokulsarlon Glacier Lagoon

This was an amazing experience!!!! I will be looking to Troll Expeditions for future Iceland excursions. Our guide, Hinrik, was truly the best. He was so funny and personable and created a sense of safety, adventure, and coziness. He also did a really good job of creating a sense of comradery within the group, which as a solo traveler I really appreciated. He had a fun playlist which was a mix of topical songs based on our next activity (ie Ice Ice Baby before our glacier hike) and music by Icelandic artists -- many of whom I've heard of and listened to but didn't know they were from Iceland. Hinrik's pride of Iceland really shown through and he taught us a whole bunch of things about Iceland, its history, its culture, and all of the incredible natural phenomena we were visiting. I was sad the trip was only 2 short days. I wholeheartedly recommend Troll Expeditions, and specifically Hinrik as a guide, to anyone visiting Iceland. I will most certainly be back and you better believe I'm going to book another tour with Troll. Thanks so much for an amazing, unforgettable adventure. I also appreciated Guide To Iceland's attentiveness. I had to change my pickup/drop off point and had some logistic questions. They got back to me very quickly and even saw I had another tour booked the day after and asked if they should change the pick up point for that as well (I didn't need that but it was great that I could take care of all of that in one easy place).

Small Group Tours in Iceland

Small group tours in Iceland offer an intimate and immersive alternative to regular bus tours, with limited participants, usually ranging from a handful to 19 travelers. These tours provide distinct advantages that set them apart from their larger counterparts.

For example, this small group tour of the Golden Circle with transfer from Reykjavik accommodates booking for up to 19 participants.

One of the primary benefits of small group tours is the personalized experience they offer. With fewer participants, guides can provide more detailed insights, answer questions thoroughly, and tailor the itinerary to the group's interests.

Flexibility is another key advantage. Small groups allow for more flexibility and adaptability to changing weather conditions. This adaptability increases the chances of uncovering Iceland's hidden gems and capturing unique moments.

In addition, these small group tours can access places that larger buses cannot reach due to Iceland's rugged terrain and narrow roads. This exclusivity allows travelers to explore remote and unspoiled landscapes without the crowds.

Lastly, small group sizes translate into more efficient logistics, resulting in shorter waiting times and more time spent exploring Iceland's wonders. With knowledgeable guides, meaningful interactions, and access to hidden treasures, small group tours offer an exceptional way to discover Iceland's beautiful attractions and rich culture.
