Relaxing 1 Hour of Yoga on South Iceland’s Black Sand Beach at Thorlakshofn
Get ready for a unique Icelandic yoga experience on the black volcanic beach in South Iceland. You will be provided with all necessary gear and a lovely yoga instructor who will lead you into the zen. These are simple vinyasa flow yoga positions which are suitable for both beginners and intermediate practitioners.
You will enjoy the great outdoors in authentic Icelandic landscapes, do simple movements and enjoy the peace and quietness of nature. This is a perfect experience in mindfulness, unique in Iceland. Let yoga do what yoga does; heal your mind and your body. There are so many benefits for doing yoga and doing yoga in nature exceeds everything.
It goes recommended that you wear comfortable clothes for the yoga practice, but bring an extra layer of clothes in case you get cold - this is Iceland after all, although the yoga flow is sure to warm your body. Mats and other necessary yoga equipment come provided. If the weather gets too rough, you move inside into a beautiful yoga room where you can enjoy the peace and quietness indoors.
Minimum participants for the yoga are 4 persons but maximum participants are 15. You do not need to have practised yoga before. We truly recommend this activity as it is a different experience than other activities in Iceland.
Icelandic nature can certainly bring you ease and calmness, and doing yoga at the same time is really relaxing. Most of us live stressful lives and even being on a holiday can be stressful. Therefore, you should treat yourself to some time off and do yoga on the beach. The yoga instructor will guide you according to your yoga level and will help you reach your zen.
