This is a 2-hour whale and bird watching tour starts from the floating pier in Akureyri and is the perfect choice for nature enthusiasts looking to experience Iceland's eclectic wildlife.
You will first stop at operator's office where you get geared up in warm, floatable overalls, put on your goggles, buffs, gloves and life vests, then head out to the harbour where you will be greeted by your naturalist and captain for the day. The boats only have 12 passenger seats, making this an intimate experience with the crew, the perfect group size for asking questions.
You will be riding in a modified RIB boats, giving you the best chance to get up close to the animals in this narrow, glacier fjord—the longest fjord in Iceland.

Other species sometimes seen on the tours are White-Beaked Dolphins, Harbour Porpoises and even Harbour Seals. Rarely, Blue whales, Fin whales or Orcas also make appearances. You will also see a great variety of seabirds, including Guillemots and Skuas.
