Discovering Hvalfjordur | Value Kayaking Tour (Small Groups)

Hvalfjörður is one of the most scenic fjords in Iceland, so get your paddle and your Kayak and explore it first-hand.
If you're feeling adventurous, take a kayak tour in Iceland to create memories that will last forever.
To sail a kayak is a fun Iceland activity for both beginners and beyond.
Hvalfjörður's name translates to the Fjord of Whales in Icelandic, because of the numerous whales that feed in its shallows.
Going kayaking with your friends or family in Iceland is a reeling activity that you will all enjoy.
Before and after your kayaking adventure in Hvalfjörður Fjord, you can enjoy the scenery from a black pebble beach.

Paddle your way onto this serene kayaking tour exploring the gorgeous Hvalfjörður fjord, just 50 km (31 mi) north of Iceland's picturesque capital city, Reykjavik.

This is the perfect tour opportunity for those travellers staying local to Reykjavik who still want to partake in some adventurous activity. It is also the perfect match for experienced kayakers looking to fit in a little paddle time during their trip to Iceland.

The tour will begin with you being picked up from your accommodation in Reykjavik before whisked away to Hvalfjörður fjord. This journey will take approximately fifty minutes, during which time you're encouraged to take in the beautiful surroundings and listen to your driver's interesting stories about Iceland's history and culture.

This glittering body of water is an excellent example of Iceland's fjords, given its staggering beauty and tranquillity. Aside from the fjord itself, the entire area is characterised by sweeping mountainscapes and glorious meadows.

At Hvalfjörður, your friendly and experienced kayaking guide will proceed to give a safety briefing, a rundown on kayaking and all of the necessary equipment. Don't fret if you've never tried your hand at kayaking before; this tour is open to both experienced paddlers and those taking to the sport for the first time.

Once out on the water, you will quickly be overcome with the sheer peacefulness of your surroundings. Thanks to the small group sizes (maximum: 6), you'll feel as though you have the entire fjord all to yourself!

From your seat in the kayak, you will be able to watch a wealth of seabirds soaring and fishing at Hvalfjörður. You might even spot a curious seal colony—these lovely creatures have been known to swim directly under the kayaks.

So what are you waiting for? Hurry now and you too can experience the joys of kayaking at Hvalfjörður fjord. Check availability by choosing a date.
