Your boat will sail by Þorlákshöfn beach, where you will take in the scenery of a black volcanic beach and learn about the wildlife and history of your journey. Your expert local guide will inform you of the stories of the sights which you see, and brief you on the history of the locations visited.
Highlights of this tour include sailing all the way into the bird paradise Krýsuvíkurbjarg and seeing thousands of birds. You will also check out an old and mystic shipwreck, visit the famous church Strandarkirkja and sail into the bay Herdísarvík where the renowned Icelandic poet Einar Ben lived.
You will also sail past Selvogur Bay, where it is likely to spot its resident seals, or maybe even whales if luck allows. The bay is also home to the scenic lighthouse Selvogsviti. Remember to bring your camera along for all the fantastic photo opportunities. It comes recommended though to have a waterproof bag for your camera, as you are at sea.
This tour is perfect for those who want to enjoy the lovely Icelandic nature, all the while having a tonne of fun on a speedboat. Please note that the speedboat trips are not suitable for people with back problems or pregnant women.
