Description

Join the fantastic and world-famous Golden Circle sightseeing tour discovering three major attractions, Þingvellir National Park, Geysir geothermal area and Gullfoss waterfall. This is the perfect tour opportunity for visitors looking to see for themselves the main features that make Iceland such a desirable travel destination.

Your sightseeing adventure will begin by being picked up from your accommodation in Iceland's charming capital city, Reykjavík. You will then be driven roughly forty minutes past lush hillsides and farmlands toward your first stop of the day, Þingvellir National Park.

Thingvellir is Iceland's only UNESCO World Heritage given both its geology and cultural significance; not only is this site of the first democratically elected parliament on earth, it is also one of the only places on the planet where you can see the North American and Eurasian tectonic plates exposed. It is also home to the famous scuba diving/snorkelling site, the glacial fissure, Silfra Fissure.

After you have appreciated your time at Þingvellir, you will be driven to Laugarvatn geothermal baths for a spot of lunch and the chance to bathe yourself in the luxurious, soothing water of this local favourite.

The next step on the Golden Circle route is Geysir geothermal area, otherwise known as Haukadalur Valley. This is home to two major hot springs, the now dormant Geysir and Strokkur. Strokkur erupts routinely every five to ten minutes, perfect for photo opportunities.

Your third and final stop of the day is at Gullfoss waterfall ("The Golden Falls"), one of the country's most dramatic, powerful and picturesque features. Here, water cascades over two rocky steps, falling a total 32 metres into the craggy canyon below.

So don't hesitate any longer! Book now and you too can experience the natural delights of the Golden Circle sightseeing route, along with a spot of bathing at Laugarvatn geothermal pools. Check availability by choosing a date.
