Jump aboard this Super Jeep excursion around the most popular sites in Iceland, combined with the snowmobiling adventure of a lifetime. See all three incredible attractions on the world-famous Golden Circle, before taking a trip to Europe’s second largest glacier for an exhilarating blast across the ice.

You will be picked up at your accommodation in a Super Jeep modified for the Icelandic terrain; the limited number of seats means that your tour is sure to be personal and comfortable. From there, you start the sightseeing component of your adventure, shooting out of the city to the Golden Circle.

The first of the Golden Circle’s three spectacular sites is Þingvellir National Park, a beautiful place of dramatic cliffs, crystal clear streams and stretches of verdant forest. The park sits directly between the North American and Eurasian tectonic plates, in the rift valley that runs through Iceland. In no other country can you see this divide between the continents, and in no other part of Iceland can you see it so starkly.

After enjoying the park, you will head to the Haukadalur Valley, a beautiful geothermal area that is home to many hot springs, steam vents, and the Great Geysir which gave all other geysers their name. Although Geysir is largely inactive these days, its neighbour Stokkur is more than happy to erupt for you, blasting water over 20 metres (66 ft) high every ten minutes or so.

The final stop on the Golden Circle is the incredible waterfall Gullfoss. You can approach a platform right at the river’s edge to marvel over the awesome power of these falls, and to get some great photo opportunities. Once you have fully appreciated its beauty, it’s time for lunch at Gullfoss’ charming restaurant.

Following the meal, you’ll drive off to start your snowmobiling adventure. You’ll appreciate the Super Jeep’s off-road abilities on your way up to Langjökull glacier, as you splash through shallow rivers and bump along rough tracks; this turbulent ride is great fun and goes through some beautiful scenery.

Your snowmobile and all the gear you need to keep you safe and warm is waiting for you at the glacier. After a quick lesson on how to operate your vehicle, you will set out for a breathtaking ride over the ancient ice.

For a full hour, you will explore this magnificent, otherworldly landscape that most never even get to set eyes on. Following this exhilarating rush, you will head back to Reykjavík in time to enjoy your evening.

Don’t miss this incredible way to see the Golden Circle and the second largest glacier in Europe. Check availability by choosing a date.

Friendly day out, the sites where amazing and snow mobiling to finish the day is an absolute must! We even left our go pro in the jeep and he brought it back for us. Top tour, top guide!
