Golden Circle Sightseeing & Silfra Snorkelling | Small Group Tour

When you go snorkelling in the Silfra Fissure, you are literally swimming between two continents.
The waterfall Gullfoss is just as stunning in the winter time, remaining the top attraction of the Golden Circle all year round.
Snorkelling in Silfra will leave anyone reeling from the natural beauty of Iceland.
Þingvellir National Park is the site of Iceland's first legislative body and the oldest still-running parliament in the world, Alþingi.
Mighty geysers such as Strokkur erupt regularly in Haukadalur on the Golden Circle, the most popular sightseeing route in Iceland.
The waterfall Gullfoss is one of Iceland's most beloved, and the very namesake of the Golden Circle route.

Don't miss out on this exciting combo tour exploring the great attractions along the Golden Circle sightseeing route with the added bonus of snorkelling 'between the continents' at Silfra Fissure.

This is the perfect tour opportunity for those travellers looking to maximise their time in Iceland, balancing incredible natural attractions with adrenaline-fuelled adventure.

Your day begins with a pick up from your accommodation in Iceland's capital, Reykjavík, before being whisked away on a scenic drive to the geothermal valley, Haukadalur, home to bubbling mud pools, steaming fumaroles and the hot springs, Geysir and Strokkur. Strokkur erupts every five to ten minutes, often reaching heights beyond twenty metres.

Next up, you will head down to one of Iceland's most beloved attractions, Gullfoss Waterfall, otherwise known as the Golden Falls. Gullfoss is the undisputed queen of Icelandic waterfalls; water cascades 32 metres down two rocky steps, falling in a cloud of mist into a dramatic canyon below.

The third and final stop of the Golden Circle is Þingvellir National Park, the country's only UNESCO World Heritage site, and the original birthplace of the world 's oldest existing parliament, the Alþingi.

In addition, it is the meeting point between the tectonic, continental plates of North America and Europe. This brings you to the final leg of the tour, snorkelling between the continents.

Silfra Fissure is a glacial spring in Þingvellir and is renown as one of the most dramatic sites and beautiful scuba diving and snorkelling sites around the world. The crystal clear water, coming in at around 2°C / 35°F, boasts visibility that often exceeds 100 metres, as well as incredible panoramas over the underwater canyon itself.

To participate, you must be able to swim and to comfortably attire a range of equipment, including dry suits, masks, snorkels and neoprene hoods and gloves. Thankfully, the dry suits keep guests warm throughout the experience, as well as floating at the surface.

So don't delay any longer! Hurry now and you too can experience the heights of both Silfra Fissure and the Golden Circle sightseeing route. Check availability by choosing a date.

Fantastic tour! Pick up was prompt, the guide was knowledgeable and informative, and the scenery and the experience were amazing!

This was a great tour. Nothing prepares you for how beautiful Silfra is and our snorkeling guide, Ronan, was so enthusiastic and helpful and he let us explore at our own pace and he made way to see Silfra in all of its beauty!

Due to the storming on the day of our tour, the national park was closed and we cannot do the snorkeling... However, Guide to Iceland reply to refund the amount of cancellation for snorkeling :) Hope that I will visit Iceland and do the snorkeling one day in the future!

Great value trip from Reykjavik. We had an extra day in the city and wanted to see the waterfall again so we booked this tour with snorkeling. The water was freezing but very much worth it!

Most of the experience was amazing, however the pick up time took around 45 minutes without any notice was quite annoying. The national park was amazing, so beautiful. Snorkeling was really cold, not much to see under water, but the geographic meaning was important. Overall, I would recommend this trip if they could manage the pick up time in a better way.

Picking up took 1 hour which was described to be 30 mins!! This is the longest picking time among all my tours! We set off from Reykjavik after 10:30 which is also the latest one! Snorkeling was really interesting, that's definately the highlight in this tour. However, We got only 20 minutes at the gullfoss, 45 minutes at Geysir including lunch time, and the worst, we didn't get a chance to see the Þingvellir national park!!
