Your tour begins when you meet your guides at the historic fishing village of Arnarstapi, where you will hear about your route and safety regulations before mounting up and setting out.

Your first destination of today is Sönghellir, a lava tube which means ‘song cave’ due to the unusual acoustics within, which requires you to ascend a beautiful hill...

The Snæfellsnes Peninsula was once much more populous, and has many abandoned buildings.

You will start today by watching the birds at the pond in Ríf, before continuing along the peninsula to the quaint village of Hellissandur to admire its beach. There are some ruins from World War II a little further at Gufuskálar.
