This adventure is ideal for those who want the chance of a close encounter with this incredible breed without embarking on an actual riding tour.

Your excursion begins in the town of Hafnarfjörður within the Capital Region of Reykjavík. There, the stables are located, and you’ll arrive in the morning to take part in the daily routine of grooming and attending to the Icelandic horses that call the farm their home.

I absolutely loved it!!! Amazing offer that is often overlooked by fellow travellers, who books the riding tour straight away without experience or physical fitness - it's such a lovely oportunity to actually spend time with horses, pet and hug them unlimited, hear interesting facts and history, and have your first very smooth and stressless ride within the farm. Horses are adorable, i didn't want to leave. Thank you very much!!

The tour was great it was a quick but informative stop to meet the horses! I had done many tours while I was in Iceland and on my last day I didnt want to do a full day tour and this one was perfect since I hadnt had a chance to see the horses up close! The weather was a bit chilly so we had to dress warm and make sure you wear hiking boots since the stables are mucky! The horses themselves were very playful and had a great temperment I would recommend for any age but especially little ones and people who may not be super comfortable around horses! Our guide Iyla was great and had so much info to give and you could really tell she truly cared about our experience and the horses as well! It was also perfect that there was free coffee and tea throughout the tour seeing as it was chilly that day and no other tour offered that so it was a definite plus

I enjoyed this experience very much. While everyone was given an opportunity to ride, no one was pushed. Met many beautiful, gentle Icelandic horses. Fairly well organized starting in a beautiful facility (with coffee). A lot going on, so some overlap with a riding tour. Our guide was effervescent, very informative, and supportive of those who chose to ride. Great tour!

This was an amazing experience as a beginner with these beautiful animals. Our fantastic host Ylfa helped us discover the beautiful creatures that are Icelandic horses. She was very friendly and patient, and facilitated great interactions with so many horses and helped me overcome my unease around the animals to the point that I ended up enjoying my first fantastic horse ride! Highly recommended!
