Enjoy the thriving nightlife of Reykjavík, and top off your evening with a Northern Lights hunt. This tour provides you with an incredible night in Iceland.

The tour begins in the capital, where you will meet your guide and group, before heading straight to a local restaurant for delicious Icelandic craft beers. Iceland only legalised beer in 1989, yet since then, there has been an explosion of microbreweries, and the products are unique and delightful.

You will try six different brands, paired with creative canapés. This is a great opportunity to make some new friends; your group size will be limited to eighteen, so you will have a good chance to get to know everyone and will have many opportunities to ask questions to your guide.

As you eat and drink, you'll learn all about Icelandic culture, folklore and history.

Once you are a little bit merry and satisfied from your meal, you will start the Northern Lights component of your tour. This is conducted in a modern bus, which has amenities such as Wifi, a tablet for each guest, and USB ports. You will also be provided with an Audio Guide, with which you can listen to commentary on the tour in one of ten different languages.

Your guide is an expert in seeking the Northern Lights out. They will seek remote, dark areas in the far-flung nature, where you have the best shot at seeing them. As they descend from the sky, you will be mesmerised by their vivid colours and their graceful movements.

Of course, there is a chance that the Northern Lights will not show; your tour, however, will only set out if they are expected. If you are not lucky, fear not, as you will get another shot to do this component of the tour for free.

Don’t miss a fantastic evening in Iceland. Check availability by choosing a date.

The beer and food tasting was absolutely amazing. However we weren’t contacted to let us know the Northern Lights part of it had been cancelled. We did a makeup for that another night. I didn’t enjoy the experience on a large bus as I prefer smaller groups but it was all worth it for the beer/food which again was fabulous.
