Like ATVs, Buggies are capable are traversing Iceland's rough landscapes.
You'll be amazed by the many shades of blue you see beneath the water surface at Silfra.
Silfra is famous for its crystal clear visibility and dramatic canyon scenery.

Don’t hesitate to join this exciting combo tour balancing your day between riding a Buggy through the Icelandic wildlands and snorkelling at the crystal clear Silfra Fissure, found in Þingvellir National Park. This is, truly, a great opportunity for all those travellers eager to experience a variety of adventure tours whilst in Iceland, as well as those looking to maximise their time in the Capital Region.

Given the fact that this combination is two tours rolled into one, it is entirely up to you whether you choose to go Buggying or Snorkelling first, though be aware that both activities require you to wear a warm, thermal layer (Iceland’s weather can be cold, after all).

If, for instance, you choose to partake in the buggy side of the tour first, you will meet your friendly and qualified guides at the base camp in Reykjavík. Here, you will be kitted out with all of the necessary equipment, including a helmet, gloves and overalls, and will also be provided with a short safety briefing and lesson on handling the vehicle. When everyone is ready, its time to take to the countryside for one hour of thrilling riding.

Once you’re riding through the picturesque, fields near Reykjavík, it will become immediately clear to you as to why Buggy riding is one of Iceland’s most popular activities. Splashing through puddles, with the wind blowing through your hair, you’ll find Buggying to be the perfect fusion of fast-paced adrenaline and sightseeing.

After your time is up, you will head onto Þingvellir National Park where, again, you will be kitted out (e.g. drysuit, snorkel & mask, fins, etc.) and hear a safety briefing. Don’t worry if you’re a little concerned, having never tried snorkelling like this before; your guide will be with you every step of the way, and besides, your drysuit will keep you floating throughout the experience.

Surrounded by mossy volcanic meadows, Silfra Fissure is renown for its incredible visibility (often exceeding 100 metres), as well as the possibility for snorkellers and divers to touch both the North American and Eurasian tectonic plates at the same time… a truly unique experience!

As you float over this epic underwater canyon, you’ll be amazed at the drama and diversity of Iceland’s landscapes, even those found beneath the still and tranquil water’s surface. After your time in the water is over, you are invited to warm up with some complimentary coffee and cookies.

Hurry now and you too can experience the joys of both Buggy riding in Icelandic nature and snorkelling in the serene and beautiful Silfra glacial fissure. Check availability by choosing a date.
