Description

Enjoy a thrilling snowmobiling ride and visit the highlights of the Golden Circle in a super jeep with this fantastic private tour departing from Reykjavik. Travelers who want to visit Iceland’s most popular tourist route with a private guide and enjoy the rush of a snowmobiling trip should book this tour today.

The adventure begins in Reykjavik at a meeting point near your accommodation. Your expert local guide will collect you in a super jeep to take you out of the city to the sights of the Golden Circle.

Super jeeps are 4x4 vehicles specially adapted with larger wheels and a raised suspension to access more remote off-road routes.

The first stop of the tour is Thingvellir National Park. The park is home to waterfalls, lava fields, glacial springs, and mountain peaks. It’s an incredible place with breathtaking views in every direction.

Thingvellir also has a fascinating history. It’s the place where Iceland’s first parliament was formed in 930 A.D. Your guide will tell you about its cultural significance as you drive to your next stop, the Geysir geothermal area.

This hot spring area is home to the world’s most famous geyser, which all others are named after. Geysir isn’t very active these days, but the nearby Strokkur geyser erupts every five to ten minutes, so you’ll see a geyser erupt during your visit.

Next, you’ll enter the Icelandic Highlands along the Kjolur mountain road. Once you reach the base camp of the Langjokull glacier, it’s time to go snowmobiling.

Your guide will provide all the necessary safety gear, including a helmet, overalls, goggles, and mittens. You’ll learn how to operate the snowmobile with an experienced guide, and then you can set off on your adventure.

Enjoying a private snowmobiling tour means you can spend more time on the ice without waiting for other group members. You’ll have a fantastic time zooming over the glacier and gazing at the majestic scenery surrounding you.

After an exciting time out on the ice, you’ll come down from the glacier and make your way to Gullfoss, one of the most beautiful waterfalls in Iceland. Gullfoss means “golden falls,” after which the Golden Circle sightseeing route is named.

The waterfall has two tiers. The first is about 36 feet (11 meters) high, and the second is taller at almost 70 feet (20 meters). It’s also incredibly mighty, so don’t get too close if you want to stay dry.

From here, you’ll make your way back to Reykjavik. You’ll travel back to the city in the super jeep and will arrive in time for dinner.

Don’t miss your chance to explore the Golden Circle with a private guide and go snowmobiling on a glacier in the Icelandic Highlands. Check availability now by choosing a date.
