Welcome to one of the most unique experiences Iceland has to offer. Not only will you be able to see the fresh lava field of the recent Fagradalsfjall volcanic eruption, but your guide, who will also serve as your own personal photographer, will be taking photos of you and documenting every step of the way.

Booking this tour will ensure that you have one of the most memorable experiences possible, as we provide a professional photo package with every volcano tour.

This is a full-service tour that includes round-trip transportation from your hotel. Not only is the volcano noteworthy, but the drive along Reykjanes peninsula, a volcanic outcropping that contains rich geologic history, is also spectacular.

The Fagradalsfjall volcano was formed in the last glacial period and provides a once-in-a-lifetime experience to those who take on the 5-6 hour round-trip hike. The last eruption started in early August 2022 and lasted for three whole weeks.

We will spend around 2-3 hours at the Meradalir valley where the recent eruption took place. The hike will be 6-7 miles (10-12 kilometers) in total.

Following your tour, you will receive 3 professionally edited photos from the tour.
