Iceland has so much to offer. Beautiful nature, amazing culture, really special food traditions and awesome people living in this island. We have put together the perfect combination of all these things. You will not only explore Iceland´s nature, but you get to do it with a local guide that will give you a taste of Iceland´s food traditions and you also get to see an old and new culture. This is the ideal tour for those who want to make the most of their time.

Your amazing guide will pick you up at your hotel before you head on this journey. Driving to visit two famous lighthouses your guide will tell you stories of elves and trolls. One of the lighthouses was built in the World War II. There we have old wooden boats on dry.  A short drive to Reykjanes oldest village. There you can visit an old black church that has an anchor from an old American ship that ran aground off the village in 130 years ago.

Continue we drive from the North America part of Iceland to the European part and visit the bridge between two continents. You can walk between it, there are not many places in the world you can walk from America to Europe. Better than that, you can actually stand in between the continents. It is popular to take a picture of you holding the bridge.

A short drive down Europe, you will visit an old female ghost named Gunna. She´s a really special lady. She has a hot spring area named after her, Gunnuhver. Sometimes when you stand near the hot spring you suddenly feel getting cold. That is her breathing down your neck.

Next to this colorful geothermal are is Iceland´s oldest lighthouse, Reykjanesviti or Reykjanes lighthouse. It stands on top of a big hill. Walking up there and enjoying the view over the incredible cliffs that are next to the lighthouse and marvel at the ocean and islands around.

Your last stop before heading back to Reykjavik is the amazing walking path next to the Blue Lagoon. There you are surrounded by incredible lava fields. Along the way you will get the Icelandic Hot Dog with the Icelandic festive drink.

A tour with a difference; Johann has compiled a gentle ramble through Reykjanes peninsula combined with some local delicacies, modern and ancient, and personal anecdotes. Johann's humour and disarming openness make for a special experience of touring favourite haunts with a friend. His passion for his country, both good and bad, is always present. From fishing tales and trawlers to dream houses and ancient hovels via storm-pounded shores, boiling earth and tectonic tension can thoroughly recommend.
