After the exhibition you will continue the journey to view beautiful, 80 metres wide waterfall called “Faxi”, a hidden gem of South Iceland. Then we head on wards to the classic Golden Circle route. First, you will visit overwhelming Gullfoss waterfall offering a spectacular view of the forces and beauty of untouched nature. If you are lucky, there will be stunning rainbow visible over the falls.
After Gullfoss, we stop at Geysir hot spring area, where you can experience the show of the geyser Stokkur which spouts water 30 metres (100 ft) into the air every few minutes. Restaurants offer both Icelandic and international cuisine.
The last part of the Golden Circle is Þingvellir National Park, the only UNESCO World Heritage Site in Iceland, where the history of the nation began and the oldest existing parliament in the world first assembled. In addition to its historical significance, area is famous for unusual tectonic and volcanic environment in a valley, the largest natural lake in Iceland and purity of nature. That is the place where continents meet, creating Almannagjá, canyon formed between two tectonic plates.
