Come aboard a super jeep for a tour around the beautiful Golden Circle with stops at Kerið crater lake and the famous Blue Lagoon Spa. This full day tour is perfect for those who like to visit these legendary locations in comfort and style.

You’ll be picked up in the morning by a large custom 4x4 known as a super jeep. This luxurious vehicle seats six passengers, so your experience promises to be both comfortable and intimate.

The first stop on the Golden Circle route is the UNESCO heritage site, Þingvellir. This national park is famous for two reasons. First, it is steeped in history. This is the place where Iceland’s parliament, Alþingi, was founded in the year 930 AD, making it the oldest parliament in the world. It is also where Icelanders declared independence from Denmark on 17th of June 1944.

The second reason for its fame is the site’s geography. Þingvellir National Park lies in a rift valley, situated between two tectonic plates. These plates are slowly drifting apart, causing tears and cracks in the landscape around. The tectonic plates mark the boundary between two continents; North America and Europe, and you’ll be able to walk between them in the park.

Your next stop is the geothermal area of Geysir. The area is the home of bubbling mud pools and erupting hot springs. The more famous hot spring, Geysir, has been dormant for years but the nearby Strokkur hot spring erupts every 5 to 10 minutes, blasting a column of magma-heated water up to 20 metres.

The last stop on the Golden Circle route (but not the last stop on the tour) is the beautiful Gullfoss waterfall. The river Hvítá is fed by glacial meltwater from Iceland’s second largest glacier, Langjökull. The river rushes southwards from the glacier and drops down two steps into a 32-metre canyon, creating this stunning cascade.

From the scenic waterfall, you’ll travel a short distance to the equally scenic Kerið crater lake. The lake is stunning all year round, both when you look at it tranquil and blue in summer or entirely frozen in winter.

After a day of sightseeing, it is time to unwind, and there is no better place to do that than the azure waters of the Blue Lagoon Spa. Remember to book a ticket to the lagoon in advance so you can end your day with a refreshing soak in the warm therapeutic baths before you head back to Reykjavík in the evening.

Don’t miss your chance of getting the essential Icelandic experience while you travel in comfort. Book this exclusive tour now! Check availability by choosing a date.
