Amazing!
Review of Icelandic Horseback Riding & Heritage Tour from Reykjavik

The pick-up was quick, and in 20-30 minutes, we arrived at the farm. If I remember correctly, there are about 300 horses. Once you get there, after dropping off your backpacks, they provide you with all the necessary equipment to start riding. They assign you the most suitable horse. I had Leikur, and he was a fantastic horse—very intelligent, kind, and to be honest, I miss him. There were two other girls with me, but one of them wasn’t very good at handling the horse and often lagged behind. My instructor was quite strict with her, but at some point, she also seemed to not understand English. He wasn’t particularly kind, but I can understand the situation. The ride takes place around the farm, and the landscapes are definitely beautiful. We were unlucky not to have snow despite it being February, but I think it would be even more beautiful in summer with all the flowers in the fields. As stated, the ride lasts between an hour and a half to two hours. There are some slow sections and others where you go faster. Afterward, there’s some time to warm up in a room attached to the stables, where I had a delicious cake and some tea. There was a bit of confusion about the return to Reykjavik because the other two girls were continuing to the Golden Circle while I had to go back to the city. At first, they told me to take a bus, but then a woman kindly offered to drive me to the city, which I really appreciated. She was nice, but like most of the people I met there, she wasn’t very talkative—they really don’t speak much. Overall, it was a good experience. Maybe the price is a bit high, but I will definitely have great memories, especially since it was also my first time on a horse
