Join an unforgettable excursion where the mesmerising Golden Circle Tour is topped off with a dip in the Secret Lagoon.

The first stop of the Golden Circle tour is the Þingvellir National Park which is renowned for both its geological and historical significance. This UNESCO World Heritage Site is situated on the continental rift that separates the European and American tectonic plates and is home to Þingvallavatn, the largest lake in Iceland. It is also the place where Iceland's first parliament was founded over a thousand years ago.

After exploring the national shrine of Þingvellir, you will visit the Geysir geothermal area where you walk among bubbling mud pots and boiling streams while the iconic Strokkur geyser shoots fuming water 40 meters into the air. Stay back or you might get wet!

The last stop of the Golden Circle is Gullfoss, the Waterfall of Gold, whose seemingly endless power can not only be seen but also felt. On the paved path that takes you to the cascade, you can feel the vibration of the water flooding by and taste the spray as huge gouts of mist spout into the air by the eternal churning of glacial water.

Your day comes to a perfect end with a dip in the Secret Lagoon, a secluded hot spring that is located in a stunning setting in the midst of the Southern countryside. The pool is lined with natural rock, with soothing water temperatures of 36-40°C (96-104°F).

Enjoy two of the most treasured activities in Iceland, strolling the countryside and relaxing in a natural hot spring. Check the booking availability by choosing a date.

It was a fine day. We saw beautiful nature like the great waterfall Gulfoss, and Geysirs. We pet some horses. We swam in the hot spring. The only things I would suggest for an approvement is first that the bathing time could last longer. Second, the guide was kind, but it would be good if his english were a little more consistent. I missed short and solid sentences with the most necessary information. I did not like the adverbs that were repeated all the time (like "basically") , and the unfinished sentences. But that may also be just picky me. In all this is a trip I really recommend to others.

Excellent! Ardís was very knowledgeable guide. We enjoyed the sites very much and would have enjoyed stopping to see the beautiful Icelandic horses.

The tour was excellent and really well run - the sites were absolutely stunning and the tour guide was very friendly and informative without being overbearing. He even let us stop to pet some Icelandic horses, which was delightful. The secret lagoon was also brilliant and beautiful, and definitely much better value for money than the blue lagoon, and I'm relieved we opted for this tour rather than a significantly pricier one.

Had a beautiful day out, great excursion to visit a less popular lagoon off the beaten track. Can’t wait to come back to Iceland

We had a great day out - our driver guide was relaxed, informative and authentic. The minibus was comfortable and the balance of driving and stops was just right. The scenery was fantastic and ending up at the Secret Lagoon was a perfect way to end the day. Recommended!

We loved the visits included in this tour and our guide, Peter, was very knowledgeable, funny, and made the trip very pleasant. As someone else mentioned on another review, we found a lot of visitors at the same time as we were there but it was due to the weather conditions on previous days. Something to be aware of if anyone plans to visit Iceland in the winter time. The scenery was amazing and beautiful, and I truly believe that there is something to gain by visiting this country in the winter time. One suggestion for any tour operators: Please, ask your city hall to invest on having a covered bus stop in each of the pick-up locations. When a tourist has to wait for about 30 minutes for the bus to arrive, at least we can expect being protected from miserable weather conditions and not start the tour feeling neglected or uncomfortable due to rain, snow or low temperatures. I used the public transportation during my trip and most of the bus stops have a small booth. I timed my rides on buses to avoid being outside too long; however, I was not given that choice while waiting for tour buses. Otherwise, the trip ended in the best possible way: a bath at the Secret Lagoon in good company and with no rain!

A great day trip! The highlight, for me, was the secret lagoon. The bus was very busy due to bad weather the previous 3 days so lots of people had rescheduled for the day we went. This meant the roads and some of the attractions were very busy but our tour guide kept us informed of timings etc. I would highly recommend this tour, just don't expect it to always run on time or for the attractions to be quiet due to oversubscription.

It was a terrific trip! The best spots near Reykjavik, sufficient time to see everything without a rush, wonderful hour spent in a hot water go secret lagoon - it was best birthday present I could give myself ;-) And the best part of the trip was our guide Petur - kind, witty and full of interesting information about the surroundings and history of Iceland.

Excellent day. Driver very informative. Would highly recommend

Absolutely fantastic experience. Christian our driver/guide was excellent. Very informative and friendly. We had plenty of time to enjoy each location and would recommend this trip.

The Golden Circle and Secret Lagoon tour was great! Our driver Klaus provided a lot of good information on the bus and once we arrived at each site we were free to explore on our own. Our preference is to see as many places as we can so we felt the time spent at each location was fine. We had a mini bus with wifi and it was comfortable. Our driver also stopped at 3 additional places - 2 sites with scenic views and 1 stop with icelandic horses! This was a great surprise to me. I'm not sure if this is always included in the tour but perhaps there is time if the group returns to the bus on time after each stop. We went in late November and it was icy at some of the stops so be careful or bring crampons if you have them. Overall this was a great tour and worth the price.

10 out of 10 experience had the best time on this tour stopping off at beautiful places with the brilliant Gudni as our guide who was not only a lovely guy, but also funny sharing a great mixture of local knowledge, history and random facts with us- the smaller bus made it feel more relaxed and natural even though we were hitting the tourist spots it felt like a friend showing you around. My partner and I got engaged during the tour and Gudni even got us some champagne at the secret lagoon to celebrate which truly added to a special day! Could not recommend enough. Thank you again Amber & Mark

Absolutely fantastic, we took our 2 young children and had the best day.. the children are still talking about it and the secret lagoon was the icing on the cake. Very knowledgeable and super friendly guide called gudni as well. Definitely recommend this tour.

When our original Golden Circle + Snowmobiling tour was cancelled due to bad weather, I searched high and low for a comparable tour. I’m so happy I found this one! The Golden Circle sights are incredible and the Secret Lagoon was a nice, relaxing way to end the tour. We even stopped to pet Icelandic horses along the way!

Very nice tour! Our guide was very informative and friendly! He told us everything about Iceland. The secret lagoon was amazing and definitely the highlight! Would highly recommend

Great tour. Driver was funny and informative. The secret lagoon was the highlight.

One of the most interesting excursions one can take.

Had a great day on this tour despite the rainy weather! Felt we had just enough time at each location and the secret lagoon was a great way to end it. Our tour guide made it a great experience and he was very informative and friendly. Would highly recommend :)

Perfect day tour with amazing ending in the secret lagoon ! The cherry on the top after a long day on the road and visiting. Would definitely recommend we were totally satisfied :)

Had a great time on this tour! The stops were incredible and it seemed like we had a good amount of time at each location. The secret lagoon was a really great way to end the day, and seemed much less touristy than the blue lagoon. The only area that could have been improved was with the tour guide. Our guide was very nice and informative, but I would have appreciated someone a little more engaging and easier to understand. Overall though, I would highly recommend this tour!

It was a very nice tour, the lagoon was great and our guide was very friendly with a lot of great Icelandic stories.

It was nice to see the sights, and the secret lagoon at the end was a great addition to the golden circle. We went on a somewhat rainy and windy day, so we were really looking forward to taking a dip in the pool, and it was the best! The tour bus was comfortable and the tour was overall a good one. We had just the right amount of time for each venue and it was convenient having a timekeeper in that sense.

Adoramos a experiência. Desde vistas deslumbrantes , passando pela informação transmitida pelo guia até à bela lagoa secreta, tudo neste tour foi maravilhoso. The golden circle was amazing, finishing at the secret lagoon turn out the day off fantastically. Thank you!

We had a great trip! It was a wonderful day and we had a very knowledgeable tour guide. We really enjoyed our tour and would do it again in a heartbeat!

My friends and I had a great day with Fred (wish I wrote his Icelandic name down)! Pick up was timely, I was very impressed by Fred's ability to drive and tell stories at the same time. The trip to the Golden Circle was lovely, nice winter scenery to check out along the ride. We were in a smaller bus, so that turned out to be a good thing after reading other reviews. Saw some Icelandic Horses too as a bonus! The Secret Lagoon at the end was amazing, wish we had a tiny bit more time there so I could have walked around there a little bit. There was an interesting, lit, greenhouse on site. I never think about tours when I travel, but glad my friend suggested to do this!

The tour was great with a very funny and professional guide who gave detailed information about Iceland on our way to the Golden Circle. The bus is very comfortable and ending the journey at the secret lagoon was perfect to relax after a long trip. Thank you!

I really enjoyed this tour - the secret lagoon was a great experience after seeing the Golden Circle. Only downfall was that it's such a large group - I prefer smaller, but the tour guide managed the time and people well at all of our stops.

This tour was well worth the money spent. We were able to see some incredible sights at a great pace without having to worry about driving in the snowy weather or figuring out the directions ourselves. Good pace, right amount of time spent at each stop, and comfortable bus. The only drawback was that the people in the back half of the bus could not hear what the tour guide was saying.

The golden circle trip was amazing, our guide was very knowledgeable & finishing at the secret lagoon finished the day off fantastically

I really enjoyed this tour. The tour guide was very knowledgeable about the country. The secret lagoon was a nice way to end the tour. I definitely enjoyed seeing the wall where they filmed the ice wall from game of thrones.

Great tour and great guide, secret lagoon had exactly the feel I was looking for.

Truly a great tour! Our guide, Klaus, was absolutely fantastic and very approachable if you had any questions while at each of the stops. For the sites themselves - really spectacular and just shows off the beauty of this amazing country. From vast waterfalls and national parks to the warm tranquil waters of the Secret Lagoon we had a really great time. Put it on your list of things to do now!

It was an amazing experience! The tour guide was very knowledgeable and with very good sense of humour. The tour itself is very good as you get to see these sights that otherwise might be difficult to see on your own in one day. And they are pretty spectacular! I would definitely recommend it!

It was great, the tectonic plates were really cool to see and the geysir too. Gullfoss was incredible but also freezing after getting rained on so much so just pack a spare change of clothes as if the weather gets really bad even in North Face waterproof jackets you can get chilled through! All adds to the fun experience though so just embrace it and have fun with it! The lagoon was super nice and perfect timing to finally warm right through! Such a nice spot! Have fun! Definitely add the lagoon on to the tour it really was a highlight and much less commercialised than the blue lagoon too.

Cracking Day out the weather couldn't spoil. The sites you visit are magnificent, with Gullfoss superb with all the rain we were having, but with the correct clothing, we still had a fantastic time. Guide and Driver were both brilliant, and the cherry on top, was the visit to the Secret Lagoon, lovely place. I definitely recommend this tour

Our tour of the Golden Circle was great! We couldn't have asked for a better guide. While his name escapes me, he was not only super knowledgeable, but hilarious! His warm charm and light-hearted sense of humor kept the group entertained, informed and feeling secure the entire time. There are tons of companies that offer the same tour, but I'm so glad I went with Sterna Travel via this site because a great guide can really change the entire experience. For first timers, I would highly recommend taking the Golden Circle tour with this group, as you'll get a great bonus seeing the Secret Lagoon. It's truly a natural gem. My only minor complaint is that there wasn't wifi on the bus nor an outlet to charge your phones.

Our tour was wonderful! Guide was both entertaining and informative. My husband and I loved the Secret Lagoon more than the Blue Lagoon - less crowded and naturally sourced. One minor complaint is that the wifi was not available on our bus- no worries though! We instead payed more attention to the landscape.

Our guide Kristjan had lots of great information. There was a good amount of time at each stop. Since I have done the Golden Circle before, I would say the highlight was the Secret Lagoon. It was not busy at all. The facilities were very clean and the view of the surrounding countryside was stunning! A towel is provided which was great. Remember to bring a plastic bag for your wet swimming clothes :)

The guide was wonderful - sharing facts about Iceland, anecdotes that brought to life the culture of Iceland and personal stories that shed light on what it must be like to live in Iceland. It wouldn't have been the same doing the Golden Circle on our own. We would have missed out on this rich experience!

Our first time staying in Iceland so we thought the Golden Circle would be a good intro. The sites are all definitely must-see for visitors. The guide was informative and friendly. I'd recommend this tour to anyone who's not gone on it before.

Great start for my holiday in Iceland. The Golden circle is a must for every first timer in the country, a gentle intoduction to this place that looks like a different planet, and the Secret lagoon is a lovely place - not too busy and in the midle of nature. Our guide was informative, funny and honest about Iceland, telling us both facts and general belief.

Our guide was very knowledgeable of the area as well as the history of Iceland as it relates to the areas. He was funny, informative, and educational. The sites were beautiful. The Secret Lagoon may be the highlight of my entire time in Iceland.

Surprised there aren't more reviews about this tour. We had a great tour guide who was very knowledgeable and friendly. It was a relatively small group and free Wifi was definitely an added bonus. Golden circle was amazing and the lagoon was very enjoyable with a nice finish to the day.

Fantastically knowledgeable tour guide who gave a warm and involved talk about the history, population, geography and views of Iceland. Would definitely recommend to anyone! WiFi on the coach was a real treat!

The tour itself was fantastic, the scenery was absolutely beautiful and it was absolutely beautiful. I would like to however bring special attention to our tour guide, he was funny, incredibly well educated and answered all questions we had for him. Well done to you sire

The tour picked us up an hour late because Guide To Iceland website never actually booked it with the tour company! We called the tour operator after sitting out in the cold for 45 minutes and they said Guide to Iceland never sent them the booking---and that this happens all the time!! You guys stink as a booking service--- go to the companies directly. Don't book with this website.

Hi Ilene, We´re sad you had this problem. We have looked into it and found out that we did send Sterna your booking confirmation. But unfortunately, when there is a lot of logistics involved, mistakes can happen. We´re glad that you made it on the tour, as many tour companies do sometimes miss their pickups. In those cases, you will have wanted to have booked with us, because we always make sure that our customers either receive the service they book or a full refund. So by booking with us you actually have an insurance. Something that is not guaranteed when you book elsewhere. We also have the best prices on Guide to Iceland :) That said, we have talked to Sterna about this and they told us that the service agent who lied to you about us not notifying them about your booking has been asked to leave their company. We apologise for any inconvenience that you experienced and hope you had a great time in Iceland.
