Wonderful tour! We explored the glacier and hiked about 2/3 of the way up towards the falling ice at the top. We learned about glacier formation and activity along with the climate and wildlife that goes with a glacier. The equipment was sufficient and allowed us to safely hike the ice and stay warm and dry.

It was definitely the highlight of our time in South Iceland. My parents, both in their 60s, and I went for this hiking tour on June 3. It was amazing to say the least. Our guide, Dave, was very knowledgeable and professional: He guided us through both the easy parts and the more difficult/challenging, but incomparably more beautiful parts of the glacier over 5 hours. Some said there were too many breaks during their tours, but not ours. We only had about eight or so breaks (both long and short) that I felt was appropriate. It wasn't physically challenging that much: If my parents in their mid-60s could do it, I'd say anyone under that age and in reasonably good health can also do it! All in all, I heartily recommend this to everyone visiting Skaftafell.

Amazing experience on the glacier! I would recommand it for aller People going in Iceland! Thanks to Josh and Joe, our guides ;)

Amazing tour with some really knowledgeable guides. The glacier is incredible and can highly recommend this trip.

Amazing! we all had such a great time, very well organised, very informative, a great experience and breath taking

All well and professionally organized. Our guide, Joe, was excellent!

Mark is our Leader and he is pretty professional, interesting and handsome :) Thank you for everything. You give us a very wonderful memory in our life. If somebody want to go there. You should be join this tour! Very recommendation!

We were really disappointed.... on our "hiking" trip we stopped nearly every 5 minutes for 5 minutes ( that's why it is a "5,5" hour-tour). We did not walk very far during this time.... it just took us a lot of time to reach our targed because of all the unneccesary breaks we took.... It would be possible to do the trip in 4 hours by walking with the same pace just by leaving out most of the breaks ( I mean you can stop once in a while for a picture, BUT NOT EVERY OTHER MINUTE!) It would also be nice, if "moderate" would be explained in more detail. The trip was everything but moderate. It was really easy to walk even for people who do not go hiking that often. It is just moderate for people who never been hiking in their entire life or been for a longer walk... I think it is way to expensive for what was offered... I would not recomment the trip for "active" people who go hikinh once in a while
