This itinerary also allocates some time to Iceland's exciting capital, Reykjavik. The city is the country's hub for culture and commerce. There you'll have plenty of options for exploration, you could visit one of the many museums or walk around downtown and do some shopping. You'll spend a day in the silence, serenity, and natural beauty of the Central Highlands where you can choose to visit the Thorsmork valley, which is hidden between three glaciers, or the windswept and colourful mountains of Landmannalaugar region. In the far East, you can follow a local guide to reach the far corners of the Eastfjords. Up north, you can opt to venture into the truly bizarre landscape of the Askja volcanic region, stepping on the training grounds of Neil Armstrong in preparation for the Moon landing mission. As you book, you can add activities to make your journey even more exciting. While travelling the Golden Circle, you can snorkel between continents or snowmobile on a glacier. On the South Coast, you can go on a glacier hike, or visit an authentic Ice Cave. You can also descend into an empty magma chamber of a volcano and sail among the icebergs at Jökulsárlón glacier lagoon. In Husavik, the 'Whale Capital of Europe', you can hop on a boat which boasts a 99% success rate in spotting the gentle giants of the North Atlantic ocean. Along the route, many hot springs and geothermal baths are available to make your road trip a more relaxing experience.  Before setting out, you will have an organised itinerary arranged for you, as well as accommodation and vehicles rentals all finalised. Private West Iceland & Ice Cave Tour

Book your private tour in a 4x4 SUV vehicle to explore the West part of Iceland with its spectacular nature, glaciers and historical sites. You will start the day by heading West after you have been picked up at your accommodation by your driver-guide. Your first destination is the most significant and potent natural hot spring in Europe, Deildartunguhver. It provides 180 L per second of 100°c boiling water. Here you can all visit a Geothermal Bath and Spa called Krauma. Next, you will visit one of Iceland's main historic sites called Reykholt. It is a cultural centre where a famous medieval, politician, law speaker and Icelandic history writer Snorri Sturluson settled in 1206. Also, in the Reykholt area, you will see an impressive waterfall, Hraunfossar. It is a fascinating series of waterfalls which are streaming through and out of Hallmundarhraun lava field and into the glacier river Hvítá. They appear as a crystal clear waterfall. Next, you will stop at Husafell for lunch. Husafell is one of the older settlements in West Iceland and is often the last stop before you are heading to the glaciers and the Highlands. It is surrounded by three glaciers, Eiriksjokull, Langjokull and Ok. Ok has been the smallest glacier in Iceland for some time, and he recently lost his status as a glacier. After lunch, you could go deep inside the second biggest glacier in Iceland, Langjokull. You will be driven around in a modified Super Jeep truck, specially made to operate on glaciers. Your guide will drive you up to the entrance into the glacier, where you will have the opportunity to explore deep inside the glacier with an experienced guide. After this magnificent glacier tour, you will drive a mountain road called Kaldidalur (Cold Valley) which will take you to Thingvellir. Thingvellir is one of the most valuable sites to the Icelandic people. It has been a Nationa Park since 1930 and a World Heritage site by UNESCO since 2004. You can see the world's oldest parliament, Althingi, which the Vikings chose as a meeting place after they settled in Iceland around 930. The geological history is especially interesting for nature lovers, and you will see the visible site of the mid-Atlantic Ridge where the North American and Eurasian tectonic plates meet. The plates are drifting apart every year about 2-3 centimetres. This drifting creates the Thingvellir Rift Valley, which is clear to see when you are standing on the edge of the North American plate. As this is a private tour, the schedule can be altered to suit your wishes. Don't miss out on this incredible day tour. Select dates to check availability. Book now!

Snorkelling in Silfra, Lava Caving & Northern Lights Tour

Join this self drive day tour to snorkel at one of the most beautiful snorkelling sites in the world (Silfra), hike through an underground cave and observe the Northern Lights in a unique location.  Your day will start with a 45-minute drive from Reykjavik to Silfra, where you will be welcomed and given a detailed briefing of the area and the activity. For 30 minutes, you will float in the crystal-clear glacial water that fills this tectonic crack as you will find yourself between two continents. The Silfra fissure is the result of the Eurasian and North-American tectonic plates drifting apart, which is what makes this site unique and bucket-list-worthy for so many people. Your tour includes top-quality snorkelling gear, as well as hot chocolate and cookies to warm up after the tour. After your snorkelling adventure, you will make your way back towards Reykjavik and drive past the capital until you arrive at the Leiðarendi cave (about a 1-hour drive). This cave boasts terrific rock formations and fascinating colours. Although the hike requires some crawling and climbing, this tour is easy and suitable for everyone who feels comfortable in small spaces and is fit enough for a short walk. High-quality caving gear is provided, but make sure to wear good shoes. Your day will end with another remarkable experience when you will visit the Northern Lights Observatory. Recently constructed outside of the city and away from artificial lights, this Observatory offers the perfect starting point for your Northern Lights hunt. Your guide will provide you with useful tips on how to hunt for the aurora, as well as camera settings to help you capture them. You will also have access to the one of a kind Dark Park, where you will witness a unique indoor simulation of the Northern Lights. The visit will be during the day, but your voucher allows you to revisit the same night to try and spot the real Northern Lights. Check availability by choosing a date.
