Join this exciting tour which combines two perfect Icelandic experiences—glacier hiking and hot pool bathing! First, you take a daring hike up a glacier and then, you wind down by soaking in a natural geothermal pool. This ideal combo should not be missed by anyone looking for the ultimate travel experience in Iceland.

Your adventure begins as you get picked up in Reykjavík City in the morning, where you will board a comfortable minibus and head to the scenic South Coast. Your first destination is at Sólheimajökull, a majestic outlet glacial tongue and the venue of your glacier hike.

Your experienced local guide will then help you get geared up with all the proper equipment needed to hike up an ice sheet, such as crampons and helmets, and brief you about the journey ahead.

Then, it’s time to begin your ascent, as you’ll be greeted by a stunning frozen scenery of different ice formations, water cauldrons, ridges and deep-seated crevasses. A glacier is a living, moving thing holding great powers, and there is no better way of grasping that power than by walking across its glistening surface.

Once this thrilling expedition is done, you will board your transportation again and pay a visit to two iconic waterfalls that you passed on the way, Seljalandsfoss and Skógafoss, but both boast magnificent drops of 60 metres (200 feet).

After exploring these natural marvels and taking photos to your heart’s content, you’ll make the drive inland for the last stop of the day. The Secret Lagoon is a magical place, located in the village of Flúðir amidst a natural hot spring area.

As you soak in the warm, mineral-rich waters, surrounded by mystic steam and incredible nature, you’ll feel your worries melt away, and your muscles rejoice for this special treat after the challenging glacier hike.

Come nightfall; you’ll be transported back to Reykjavík City, knowing you just combined two amazing Icelandic experiences in only one day.

Treat yourself to a mixture of action and relaxation. Check availability by choosing a date.
