Description

Enjoy a thrilling adventure with this private glacier hiking, ice caving, and photoshoot tour in Southeast Iceland. This excursion is perfect for those who want to embark on an exhilarating journey and get amazing photos taken by professional photographers at the end of it.

Your tour starts at Jokulsarlon glacier lagoon, where you will meet your guide. You will ride a super jeep from the lagoon to an outlet of Vatnajokull glacier. This ice cap, located in a national park of the same name, is the biggest in Europe.

During your ride, you will witness the many beautiful surroundings of Jokulsarlon. The lagoon is famous for its dreamlike beauty due to its icebergs, wildlife, and majestic view of Vatnajokull.

For the glacier hike, your guide will provide you with your hiking equipment, which includes a helmet, a harness, crampons, and an ice ax. Moreover, if you need a pair of hiking boots, request them before the trip.

Before arriving at the glacier's edge, you must first hike through an alien-like glacial tundra. After arriving at the ice cap, you must put on your crampons to continue.

You will then start to ascend the glacier. The otherworldly terrain around you and beautiful views over the south make this one of the most unique and dramatic adventures that Iceland offers.

After a short hike, you'll reach the ice caves and follow your guide into their beautiful depths. You'll be awed as you hike through the cave's blue crevasses and enter its gorgeous chambers. Their colors, textures, and unusual formations defy the imagination.

These features are incredibly rare around the world, making this activity even more special. You can learn more about the ice cave, glacier, and more of your surroundings through your certified glacier guide.

Another main feature of the tour is its photoshoot package. Your guide, who doubles as a professional photographer, will help capture your beautiful moments.

The package includes 20 fantastic shots per person, including portraits, groups, landscapes, and ice cave shots. They will be sent to you after editing a week following your tour.

Considering this is a private tour, no pictures will be wasted on strangers, providing a personalized portfolio.

After your photoshoot, you will enjoy a breathtaking descent from the glacier and return to Jokulsarlon.

Reserve a spot now to explore Iceland's glaciers and ice caves and bring home photographs taken by a professional. Check availability now by choosing a date.
